LAMP/PHP/Drupal Developers

Mindgrub is currently seeking a Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Drupal developers to support multiple client projects. Candidates must have CS degree or currently working to fulfill CS degree. 2-5 years experience working with PHP 5 a plus. Must have strong skill set of systems and scripting languages, familiarity with CMS’s, Web development (PHP, HTML, CSS, XML) and SQL Databases. The perfect candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team. Object Oriented programming and flexibility to move from project to project as needed a major plus!!

Web Developer Intern

Mindgrub is looking for a Web Developer Intern for the Fall 2014 term. Candidates must be working towards a Computer Science degree, preferably with no more than 3 semesters until graduation.

  • Position: Part-time, paid internship
  • Location: Baltimore, MD 21230


Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and supervisor standards
  • Incorporate criticism and standards into product
  • Set up a Drupal site from scratch
  • Able to install community modules and configure settings
  • Familiar with entities and fields as well as major community modules (Views, WYSIWYG, Backup/Migrate, etc.)
  • Basic theming structure and modifying existing themes
     

Qualifications

  • 0 to 1 year of experience
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

IA/UX Intern

Come join Mindgrub in an exciting internship opportunity where you'll get your hands dirty building mobile, web and social apps. We're a fast-paced and agile agency working with a variety of clients ranging from startups to fortune 500 to build the next generation of software. Our UX/IA department works closely with our clients to clearly define the problem they want solved, perform any additional research needed, and then create a vision of what the solution looks like. We are then responsible for making sure that vision is carried through to the end product.

We're looking for someone who has a solid visual design or HCI background plus amazing critical thinking and people skills. 

Potential work you would be doing:

  • Sketching and wireframing user interfaces
  • Drafting usability reports, personas and various documents
  • Putting together and updating final deliverables in InDesign
  • Performing content audits and producing sitemaps
  • Engaging with clients
  • Presenting your work internally and to clients

Bonus points if you know any of the following well:
Sketching user interfaces, Axure RP, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, iOS Design patterns, web design patterns.

Assist in executing deadline-driven client marketing projects.

Create web content to maintain and enhance company website.

Assist with email marketing projects.

Create video storyboards and scripts.

Support social media marketing efforts.

Provide support for daily marketing department responsibilities.

Create web graphics and images to maintain and enhance company website.

Assist with email marketing projects.

Create video storyboards and scripts.

Support social media marketing efforts.

Provide support for daily marketing department responsibilities.

 

Requirements:

Strong visual design skills.

Extensive experience with Adobe design programs.

Experience with HTML/CSS a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
