The Problem
Silverpoint was looking for a developer that could not only program the client-side applications they were creating, but who could also create reusable components to reduce the development time on similar future projects. Silverpoint wanted to create front-end interactions that could be customized along with each web project and utilize data from their SchoolSuite® software.
The Solution
Silverpoint came to Mindgrub to develop highly customized reusable components using the Flash Platform, common framework and code. We have created numerous multimedia products from video players and mp3 players to interactive experiences and interactive maps. In addition, we created a news reader using an RSS, which is a front-end for the generated content created by their SchoolSuite® software. All of this using the Flash Platform and all of which is customizable and reusable.
Mindgrub consulted on and developed several reusable Flash components including:
- Interactive campus maps
- Interactive tours of the school
- School experiences including teacher interviews, student testimonies and video presentations of various sports activities
- Image galleries
- News readers
- Media players
The Results
Silverpoint is able to reuse common components on multiple projects giving each web design a new look but having the same functionality of audio, video and images. Leveraging existing components reduces the amount of time it takes to develop a rich interactive website, thus deploying to the web in a timely and cost-effective manner. It is with this goal that Silverpoint delivers every school website with increased functionality and reduced time in development.
