Web Based Training

Online learning, or eLearning, has emerged as a widely used platform for millions of users in education institutions, the government and private industries. All levels of learning have taken advantage of the Internet to either support what is being taught in the classroom, enhance their courses outside of the classroom, or offer an entire course online that a student can complete anywhere, at anytime.

Founded by a teacher, Mindgrub fuses rich interactive software applications with training development processes to create both captivating content and cutting-edge instructional systems. Since the late 90's, we have been developing instructional systems for web- and computer-based training that specializes in enterprise system development with highly interactive Flash navigation and content.

We have collaborated on several virtual classroom environments, from simple discussion groups to portals with video conferencing and desktop sharing capabilities. We focus on the digital classroom from the end-user perspective and strive to maximize knowledge distribution and learning in a variety of engaging formats. Our consultants are experts in working with and developing custom Learning Management Systems (LMS) using SCORM and AICC standards.

In a joint partnership with the University of Maryland, Mindgrub launched the beta version of a new portal focusing on a community of collaborators in eLearning models and new online education formats. EdInfo focuses on providing leadership direction for school officials branching out into the contemporary classroom so that they can enhance the eLearning teaching and learning experience for teachers and students alike by using the internet to facilitate the production and absorption of knowledge.

In 2000, the Maryland Department of Education (MSDE) established a new vision that offered all students and educators in public schools the opportunity and ability to enhance their educational experience through access to high-quality web-delivered courses and online instructional support.

The University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) is an Honors University offering academically talented students a strong undergraduate liberal arts foundation that prepares them for graduate and professional studies. UMBC emphasizes science, engineering, information technology, human services and public policy at the graduate level.
