Instructors

Mindgrub instructors are experts in multimedia technology. They have taught both standard and custom courses from multimedia to portals. Mindgrub instructors are pioneers in the industry and have edited, contributed, and written several books from Beginning Dreamweaver to Flash Video. They have received several Flash Forward Nominations, a Macromedia Site of the Day, 2 Addy and several portal awards.

Connect Meeting* In this course students will learn to create, host and schedule Connect meetings. They will learn to upload content, use audio and video, customize the meeting room and interact with participants. Connect Training* In this course students will learn to add training content including Breezos, Connect Meetings, Flash presentations, Captivate simulations and other content to a Connect Course. They will learn to create curriculum and add, modify, and schedule students, content managers and instructors. 2 days
Connect Combo* Combine topics from any 2 or all 3 of the Connect Presenter, Meeting or Training courses above to create a custom class to suite your needs. 2 days

Captivate (formerly RoboDemo) In this course students will learn to record and produce software demonstrations and interactive simulations. They will learn to add and modify slides, record audio and add text entry fields. Students will learn to include animation and quizzes and send results to a Learning Management System (LMS) 1 days

Director CS3 Intro In this course students will get a jump start on delivering rich content and applications for CDs, DVDs, kiosks, and the Internet using Director. Students will learn Director CS3's new features, including JavaScript support, cross-platform publishing, Flash integration, Windows Media support, and DVD-Video capabilities. 2 days
 
Dreamweaver CS3 Quick Start* In this course students will get up to speed on all of Dreamweaver CS3's new features including visual authoring with XML data and advanced CSS support with a unified CSS panel and a style rendering toolbar.

Dreamweaver Web Site Development In this course students will learn to build and manage professional web sites including adding content such as graphics, forms and media, formatting with CSS and creating site navigation and templates. They will learn to maintain multiple sites in Dreamweaver and upload content to a server. 3 days
Dreamweaver ASP Application Development In this course students will learn to develop web applications using Dreamweaver, PHP and MySQL including connecting to a database, searching records, displaying results and by building an administration page to update site contents. 3 days
Dreamweaver PHP Application Development In this course students will learn to develop web applications using Dreamweaver, ASP and Access including connecting to a database, searching records, displaying results and by building an administration page to update site contents. 3 days
 
Fireworks Web Graphics Creation In this course students will learn to create rich web graphics. They will learn to work with layers, create both bitmap and vector images, build buttons, add rollovers, add slices and optimize and export graphics. 2 days
 
Flash CS3 Quick Start* In this course students will get up to speed on all of Flash CS3's new features including filters, advanced gradient and animation controls, several new video editing and encoding features and mobile authoring.

Flash Accessibility In this course students will learn best practices for making Flash movies accessible including how to structure the flash timeline and objects, using the accessibility panel, editing the tab sequence of the movie, adding audio to a movie, adding closed-captioning text for embedded movies, testing with JAWS, and fixing usability issues. 1 day
Flash Advanced Design* In this course students will learn to develop flexible and dynamic design-based Flash content. They will learn advanced ActionScript and how to dynamically create and manipulate objects without the use of the timeline. Students will learn to create and implement components.
(Prerequisite: Rich Content Creation, Actionscript 2.0 or similar course)

Flash Actionscript In this course students will learn the fundamentals of Actionscript including instance names, variables, functions, properties, and methods. They will learn advanced programming such as conditions, loops, event handling, and animating with ActionScript, and will learn the new features of Actionscipt 2.0. 3 days
Flash Application Development In this course students will learn to build a dynamic Internet application. They will learn to use classes, complex data structures, built-in components, web services, and Flash Remoting. They will learn to use Actionscipt for the inclusion of event-driven functionality and to send and receive content from a database.

Flash Game Programming In this course students will learn to program complex animations and games. They will learn to use collision detection, audio, and physics for enhanced game play. They will learn optimization, 3D using the z-plane and publishing to different platforms such as mobile devices.

Flash Rich Content Creation In this course students will learn the basics to create rich content. They will develop an interface using text, graphics, animations, video and sound. They will learn best practices with the timeline, how to use the Actionscript editor and how to import components. 2 days

Flash Video In this course students will learn how to produce high quality Flash Video . They will learn to build a video player using pre-built components and Actionscript. They will learn encoding techniques, how to create live video, and exporting using the new alpha-channeling and video color filters. Students will explore bandwidth scaling, progressive downloading, and streaming with the Flash Media Server and Video Streaming Services. 3 days
Flash Media Server 2 In this course students will learn to deliver digital media applications with Flash Media Server 2. They will learn to configure and manage the server and how to use Actionscript and the Flash Application Framework to build interactive applications with audio and video.

Instructional Technology In this course students will learn to produce web based training content using Flash, Captivate and Connect Presenter. Students will learn the essentials of Flash Rich Content Creation for training development. They will learn Captivate and Connect Presenter, including Quiz inclusion, SCORM manifest output and communication with a Learning Management System (LMS). 5 days
 
Portal End-User Training In this course students will learn the basics of Portal Technology. They will learn to navigate the portal, join communities, add and interact with portlets, upload documents, search, access help information and collaborate with other users. .5 days
