Mindgrub Creates Free App for Inaugural Light City Event

Mindgrub developed the comprehensive mobile app, sponsored by Kaiser Permanente for Baltimore’s culture, art, and innovation festival, Light City. The app is supported on both Android and Apple devices, and is available for download on iTunes and Google Play.

The Light City Mobile App sponsored by Kaiser Permanente has an array of features to help users make the best of their time at Light City. One of the features is an aggregate event calendar with artist information, concert times, and event locations. Users can filter the schedule by Light City’s three categories: Music, Performance, and Innovation, and then customize their own schedule and share their experiences with friends, both on social media and through text. Information about transportation, hours, food, and accessibility during Light City is readily available on the app at the user’s fingertips.

Mindgrub partnered with festival producer Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts (BOPA) and founding visionaries, What Works Studio, when creating the app. “Our goal for the Light City app is to add to an innovative and enjoyable experience for festival goers,” said Kathy Hornig, Festival Director for the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts. “By viewing the installations in advance on the BGE Light Art Walk Map, attendees can plan their festival visit and preview all of the art, performances and more.”

Mindgrub is a top sponsor of Light City, and will be hosting a Tech Playground Experience on April 1st and 2nd in City Garage. Additionally, Mindgrub’s CEO, Todd Marks, will be a featured speaker during the Health Innovation Conference on March 30th. He and Mindgrub’s Creative Strategy Director, Leah Vogely, will be discussing “Bridging the Gap Between Health Technology and Data Visualization.” Use code TM20 to save 20% off your ticket.
