Jonathan Hawk is the Director of Managed Services at Mindgrub, a department composed of “jacks of all trades” who monitor and improve systems and software. Since his first program written in BASIC at the age of ten, Jonathan has been passionate about technology. He now has over twenty years of professional software development and operations experience, including many thousands of hours of donated time to the free software community.
Over the course of his career, Jonathan has worked in a dozen programming languages, writing programs that run on a variety of devices, and has designed and maintained numerous production systems, running all sorts of applications. Version control, web servers, application servers, mail systems, databases, encryption, virtualization, continuous integration, and even networking — if it’s part of software development (from the desktop to the cloud), he’s probably set it up.
In addition to his passion for technology, Jonathan is also talented speaker and performer, and is a former member of the International Thespian Society.
In the many years since, Jonathan has volunteered at dozens of conventions to serve as master of ceremonies, speaking to audiences of thousands.
