Account Supervisor

Drive the strategic direction of accounts; serve as the liaison between client and agency teams

Description

The Account Supervisor is responsible for fostering and growing positive, long term relationships with his/her assigned portfolio of clients, and driving the strategic direction of their accounts with energy and authority. The Account Supervisor serves as the liaison between client and agency teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions that align with client expectations and agency goals. ​

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the day-to-day contact for all assigned accounts and projects, and consistently works to build trust and rapport with key client stakeholders
  • Serves as the SME on clients’ business and industry
  • Creates strategic plans, and demonstrates sound judgment in prioritizing client needs, determining the agency resources required to meet them effectively
  • Understands and adheres to internal and external processes
  • Effectively works with Mindgrub’s internal teams to manage budget allocations based on client/campaign budgets and goals
  • Works with Account Director/VP to set goals and foster growth opportunities for direct reports (AE/AAE)
  • Enforces adherence to quality standards for the team as set forth by senior leadership
  • Builds consensus and rapport with client and Mindgrub's internal teams, specifically ensuring that Engagement Director (ED) is kept up to date with all major client developments
  • Work with VP/ED to identify opportunities and create and execute measurable growth plans for assigned clients
  • Build upon and strengthen current accounts, focusing on opportunities for growth through the cross-selling of other services, i.e., ongoing maintenance, marketing, etc.
  • Manage multiple engagements across a single client and ensure continuity/consistency of brand, style, messaging and marketing goals across all channels
  • Responsible for the overall quality of work delivered by the team

Tasks

  • Works closely with ED during initial onboarding to ensure complete knowledge transfer
  • Facilitates project and campaign kickoffs to relevant members of Mindgrub’s internal teams on behalf of existing clients
  • Oversees the management and execution of campaign/tactical plans to ensure adherence to strategy, budget and KPI’s
  • Work closely with Project Managers, and contribute to the development/management of project timelines and budgets
  • Presents recommendations and/or work to clients in partnership with senior leaders and/or interdisciplinary colleagues to obtain client buy-in
  • Drafts proposals, SOW’s, conference reports and status reports prior to client review
  • Creates strategic, creative and project briefs and presents them to clients for approval
  • Presents briefs to internal teams for alignment
  • Works closely with ED and VP to establish and meet client-specific business growth goals
  • Keeps VP informed of client and team developments with regular status updates
  • Clearly communicates defined goals, budgets and deliverables to client and internal, cross-functional teams
  • Reviews deliverables before presentation to the client
  • Helps to facilitate the management, development, and promotion of direct reports (AE/AAE)
  • Fosters productive, positive working relationships within all of Mindgrub’s internal teams
  • Consistently works to improve efficiency and project profitability
  • Delegates assignments to junior team members and effectively oversees AE and AAE workload and performance

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience within a software company/consultancy, demonstrated skilled knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies, agile/scrum certifications a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to communicate clearly and distill complex information in a concise and clear matter for all internal team members and stakeholders

  • Strategic customer service orientation, with the desire and ability to form long-term relationships with clients
  • Experience working with enterprise-level clients
  • Experience working on a wide variety of digital projects, including web and mobile
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferred

  • The position will require you to work on-site in our Baltimore office, and manage multiple tasks while delivering projects on-time and on-budget
