BALTIMORE, MD | Mindgrub’s Director of Web Engineering has been named one of the most influential technologists in Baltimore by Technical.ly Baltimore.
Technical.ly Baltimore has named Brian Thompson, Mindgrub’s Director of Web Engineering, one of the top technologists in Baltimore in 2019.
Technical.ly’s RealLIST series ranks the most promising startups, teams, and technologists in Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, Delaware, and Washington, DC. 2019 marked the inaugural call for nominations for “RealLIST Engineers,” recognizing 15 individuals for their technical ability, engagement with the local tech industry, and commitment to the community.
Brian has been with Mindgrub Technologies for over seven years, where he currently leads a team of more than 40 developers. In addition to his technological achievements with Mindgrub, he was also selected for his commitment to open source communities, specifically Drupal and WordPress, and for his volunteer efforts throughout Baltimore.
“Brian is the go-to resource for web developers at Mindgrub,” states Thompson’s nomination. “When Googling a solution to a particular problem, it’s not unusual to stumble across his username and a solution he’s already pushed up somewhere in the public domain.”
“He’s more than just a creative problem solver and an accomplished developer,” remarks Mindgrub Marketing Director Laura Scruggs. “He’s a gifted leader, is incredibly generous with his time, and is a great role model for anyone in any field.”
The RealLIST honorees will be recognized at Baltimore Innovation Week’s Dev Day Happy Hour on Wednesday, October 9th. To view the full list of 2019 RealLIST Engineers, please visit Technical.ly Baltimore’s website.
