On October 26, 2017, Mindgrub hosted Baltimore’s first WomenHack, an invitational recruiting event centered around connecting leading women technology candidates with professional opportunities. WomenHack has worked with over 1,500 talented women, more than 170 companies, and over 25 cities in 5 different countries.

Lisa Kataeva from WomenHack said, “Forging forward with the WomenHack mission to present more economic opportunities to women in tech roles is exactly what we need in more cities, and we are thrilled that Mindgrub brought it to Baltimore.”

Using the “speed-dating” format, dozens of tech professionals gathered to meet with several companies. The office quickly filled with positive, upbeat conversation while everyone enjoyed light refreshments and waited to talk to the various companies in attendance. Mindgrub was honored to use its space to host this event, supporting and encouraging diversity in tech.

Looking to the future, Mindgrub is organizing a Make a Mark event, another first for Baltimore. The region’s best designers and developers will gather on April 14, 2018 to work on projects for local nonprofits.
