BALTIMORE, SEPTEMBER 30, 2020 | The Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has chosen Mindgrub’s full-service team to redesign and rebuild their website.

Founded in 1990, The Children’s Inn at NIH is a nonprofit organization that provides a “place like home” and other support services free of charge to families with seriously ill children who are participating in pediatric research at the National Institutes of Health.

In addition to free lodging, The Inn provides meals and a wide range of recreational, therapeutic and educational activities to children and their families while they are participating in clinical research studies and trials at the NIH. Their new website will help build awareness of the organization’s mission and impact, generate support for The Inn’s vital operations and build an engaging online community for a variety of stakeholders, including the general public, corporate partners, Inn residents, NIH physicians, volunteers, employees and the media.

“Our team is honored and humbled to work with the amazing team at The Children’s Inn at NIH to help connect more families with the support they need during an unimaginably challenging time,” remarked Mindgrub Engagement Director John Rainey. “Building their new online experience allows us to fulfill our mission of using technology to make a difference, especially in a time when more and more people are relying on the internet for resources and information.”

“Medical advances that happen at the NIH wouldn’t be possible without the people who drive them: the children and young adults who volunteer for NIH studies, their families and caregivers, and the people who care for them, including hundreds of volunteers, our staff and our very caring supporters – the community The Inn brings together,” said Fern Stone, The Children’s Inn’s chief development and communications officer. “We chose to partner with Mindgrub to build a brand-new, intuitive and easy-to-use website that allows us to better share how The Children’s Inn makes childhood possible and partners with the NIH to advance clinical research for a better tomorrow.”

The website redesign project will leverage team members from Mindgrub’s interactive design, user experience, digital strategy, project management, search engine optimization, web engineering and digital marketing practice areas.
