QA Engineer

Work closely with an Agile team to define and document project requirements

The Quality Assurance Engineer will work closely with a complete Agile team comprised of Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers to define and document all project requirements. The QA Engineer will ensure all features of the application meet or exceed industry standards while ensuring test plans and test cases follow these standards. The engineer will be expected to learn and master any test management tools that are required for testing. Over time, the QA Engineer will be expected to build their technical expertise based on their testing experiences and contribute their findings and knowledge to the internal team. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain test plans to meet project objectives
  • Work with Product Owners to ensure business requirements are met and captured accurately
  • Support and provide constructive feedback on existing processes and standards
  • Resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Efficiently prioritize workload

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong understanding of Atlassian’s Jira and Confluence or similar project management software
  • Ability to perform problem solving and root cause analysis when defects occur
  • Possess strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong understanding and/or experience with Sprint planning sessions
  • Technical skills should include proficiency with Windows OS, MAC OS, and general knowledge or understanding of HTML, XML, Web Services, JAVA, C++, ObjectiveC and Swift
  • Knowledge of or experience with automation tools are a plus (Appium, Selenium, etc..)
  • Knowledge of or experience with repositories a plus (Github, Bitbucket, etc..)
  • Knowledge of or experience with API testing tools a plus (Postman, SoapUI, etc..)
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
