Mobile Game Testing & Mindgrub

Every game that goes through Mindgrub’s development process is rigorously tested for bugs before it is released. This in-house, ad-hoc, Alpha testing is done by a combination of developers already assigned to the project and Bugzilla software, to find any bugs prior to beta testing.

Depending on the complexity of the game, beta testing could either be done in-house or through a sort of open “casting call.” This casting call involves choosing possible outside users to play through the game and test more for “funness” than any bugs. This process can include suggestions of possible features, incentives, etc. which, if used in the actual game, is rewarded with a credit thanking whomever submitted the change.
